The Mazor X Robotic Guidance Platform launched almost a month ago, and Dr. Leipzig was recently interviewed about this sophisticated, new advancement in minimally invasive spine surgery. Virginia Spine Care is one of only five locations in the state to offer this robotic system.

“I think it’s a quantum leap in our capabilities. The increase in precision is incredible and of course with precision comes safety. The marked reduction of radiation exposure is really important.”

Mazor X helps to overcome the challenges surgeons face in traditional minimally invasive spine surgery with a 3D comprehensive surgical plan and analytics that give the surgeon information before the surgery starts.

This is a safer solution to a complicated surgery and one that Dr. Leipzig says is the future. To learn more about Mazor X and how Dr. Leipzig is utilizing this robotic guidance platform, watch his interviews on WSLS 10, WDBJ7ABC 13 – WSET, WFIR, and the Salem Times-Register.

Dr. Leipzig is a Virginia spine surgeon with over two decades of experience. He specializes in procedures including robotic spine surgerymicrosurgical lumbar surgery, and disc arthroplasty. To learn more about Mazor X or to schedule an appointment, contact his office at (540) 725

"I enjoy interacting with patients and helping them understand their condition and treatment options. Spine problems and spinal surgery can be stressful. It’s an honor to be able to treat patients and guide them toward recovery."
